 This week I am going to find a beat or rhythm for my song. I haven't finished my lyrics yet but I am going to find a beat or rhythm for the verses and chorus.

 What type of song are you composing?

The type of song I'm gonna composed is about love and a long-distance relationship

Your working alone or as a group why?

I am gonna work alone because I think working alone is much easier than working as a group.

The pre-chorus and chorus

What are you working on this week?

what I am going to work this week is to finish my song. 

SOLO 1 evaluation

 Why did you choose the song? I choose the song because I think if I did a song for the performance I would do better. The song was really good to listen to as well. 

- are you happy with your final performance of it? I was not happy with my performance because I did a lot of mistakes. I wasn't practising really well either because I find the beat fast. 

What did you find challenging about the piece? The challenging about the piece is following the music beat. It was challenging because my fingers need to be fast and stable. 

The performance goal for solo 2(what are you going to work at improving) 

For my performance goal for solo 2 is to pick a song that is the right one for me. Also, I need to improve my fingers skills so I won't make any mistakes. 

Doing a presentation is the most terrifying thing to do in my opinion, because you have to present it in front of a person or audience. I didn't practise well before my presentation because I was focusing on my other subjects in school. Also, I keep forgetting to practise my presentation because I am always on my phone. During my presentation, I was stuttering when I am talking because I felt worried and nervous because I might make a lot of mistakes and my presentation might not gonna get to 1 min. Also, I am worried because of my body language and my tone of voice.

What did I do well? During my presentation, I made a mistake. I stopped talking for maybe 20 seconds because I forgot what to talk about next in my presentation, however, I manage to keep on going by making a new sentence of my presentation of my favourite online book. Also, what I did well is that I kept smiling while talking to my audience. I smiled because it helps me to give more positive emotions and it decreases my nervousness. 

What would I improve next time is, I will practise early before my presentation. Practising early can really help me because I have more time to memorize my presentation script. Also, I have more time to practise my hand gestures and my tone of voice. When I am doing a presentation, I know what to do and what to say. 

What was challenging is that I have to perform in front of my classmate and my teacher. Doing a presentation in front of a lot of people can make me stutter when I am talking because of nervousness. Also, I had to make my presentation good to get achieved. To make a good presentation my body language, voice and my mind should be well too. These are very challenging to me because I have no confidence to do it. 

 

What advice would you give to the current year 10 students about having an enjoyable and successful year at school for year 11 NCEA?  My advice to all year 10 students is that don't give up about your learnings and if you guys are struggling just tell the teacher or someone that you can trust. Don't worry, Year 11 is still fun as ever

3 significant films scene in World War Z

In this scene, the Navy Captain asked Gerry Lane ( the main character ) to go into the overseas with the armies so they can find the cure and origins of the zombies but Gerry said no because he can't leave his family because his family is important to him. The Navy Captain told him, that if he wants to help his family, he should join and go with the armies or else, his family can't stay in their ship so Gerry agreed to help them and leave his family because the only people that can stay in the navy ship are the people who work in the ship. They also lack foods, water and even room to sleep in. Gerry has no choice but to join the navy and leave his family.


In this scene Gerry and his allies have to go B-Wing lab to get the terminal disease to they can give it to the scientist to test it if it's really useful but it will be dangerous because they have to through the zombies. Gerry has to go alone to the B-Wing lab because he told his allies to separate each other because they have no choice but to go back to the safe room because they're chasing by zombies. Gerry entered inside the lab that contains disease containers but then he encountered a zombie outside the door and he can't kill the zombie because he left his axe outside the door.  Gerry has no choice but to take a very big risk in injecting himself with a terminal disease hoping that this is a useful way to fight with the zombies. Gerry tests it out to see if it's working and it worked.




In this scene, Gerry and his family went to the supermarket because they need foods, and supplies to survive. Gerry and his daughter went to the pharmacist area because his daughter has asthma. They encountered a stranger that has a gun instead of shooting at them he helped them. Stranger gives some asthma medicines for Gerry's daughter for free.




 What is the text about? How do we know? As you can see in the movie, this text is about Gerry surviving zombie apocalypse while doing his mission about finding the cure and the origin.
What kind of language is used in the text? The languages that they used in the text in English and Hebrew.
 Is the text fair? No, because the people in the text are suffering because of the zombie apocalypse.
 Are there gaps and silences in the text? I think there is after they got the plane crashed.
 What views of the world is the text presenting? The views of the world in the text is miserable, challenging, and life-threatening because the world is full of zombies.

A news item that interests me

A recent news item that interests me is the news about the coronavirus in China. The coronavirus is so deadly that it can cause common illness to turn into more severe disease and can easily spread from person to person. This news is so scary that every people in the rest of the world are anxious and scared about it.

The coronavirus started last year on December 31, 2019, in the capital and largest city in Hubei province, Wuhan. It is caused by Huanan Seafood Market which sells exotic animal foods like beavers, porcupines, snakes, bats and rats. These exotic animals can destroy the ecosystem because they carry diseases or bad health like parasites, illness and some viruses. This news makes me so interested that this is why people should stop eating exotic animals that can destroy the ecosystem so nothing bad will happen.

The coronavirus is currently spreading in Asia and the rest of the world. A resident in Wuhan said, people in Wuhan went overseas to protect themselves and their families but some people are staying at their homes. The resident said people normally stay home with their families during the Lunar New Year Holiday and have plans to do some activities but they have to cancel it because of the outbreak which is very sad. The risk and the anxiety level of people in China are increasing every day because they are lacking some food, protective mask and because of the virus, even the rest of the world are scared.

This recent news makes me feel sad and scared about it because people in China are suffering from the coronavirus. They haven't found a cure yet for the coronavirus and I hope they are working for the cure of it so this problem can end.
