If you're reading this story, you might be horrified. Do you like the place where you live? Because I don't. Hi, my name is Ling and I am 14 years old. Sometimes when I go out in the morning or the evening, I smell blood and rotten flesh. The grandparents in my village share their stories with their grandchildren about Aswang that devouring humans to gain their powers and strength. And they said it started a thousand years ago. There are two types of Aswang. One uses they're only strength and the other uses a power also called blood techniques. There is a lot of abilities and unique skills for Aswang. Only higher Aswang can use high power abilities. Some Aswangs are like witches that use witchcraft to cast a spell or curse on humans. We don't know if they are true.
The day after in the morning after I prepared breakfast for my family, I went to mom to ask her permission.
"Mom, can I go out to sale some fish and help people in our village for tomorrow night supper?". I ask.
"Thank you, Ling, just make sure you come back before sunset."
"I'll try Mom". My younger brother Chou and my younger sister Hanabi heard our conversation. They immediately came over to us if they can go as well. "Sorry guys, you can't. You have stayed so you take care of mom and our little sister Miya. If only our father is here, you can come with me.
"How sad, we can't go". Said Chou with a down face.
"Don't worry I'll be back home, don't be sad, you look like a pig if you're sad" I teased. "You're a bully," he started yelling.
9 hours later, while I was walking back to my home, I smell blood and a different scent of smell. "That smell..., it smells like my family". I say with a shaking voice. I immediately ran fast to my home without taking a breath. " Be calm Ling ". I say to myself. I don't know what's happening and I'm really scared. The more I'm closer to my home, the more I smell the scent of demon blood. Finally, I got home. I cried with anger and anxiety.
